Roofing and materials

Does NGA install metal and copper roofs in Connecticut?

Yes. NGA installs standing-seam metal roofing and custom copper roofing and trim. The right material and details depend on the roof design, exposure, and budget. See examples in our project gallery.

Is metal roofing a good choice near the Connecticut shoreline?

Yes. A properly specified and installed metal roof is a strong choice for Connecticut shoreline homes exposed to high winds, wind-driven rain and severe storms. For coastal properties exposed to salt air, we recommend aluminum because it does not rust like steel can. The panels, fasteners, flashing and installation must still be suited to the property's wind and salt exposure.

How do I know whether my roof needs repair or replacement?

A leak alone does not always mean you need a new roof. We look at the roof's condition, the source and extent of damage, and the remaining useful life before recommending a repair or replacement. Request an on-site assessment for an answer specific to your property.

Do you offer GAF roofing products and warranties?

NGA is a GAF Certified™ residential roofing contractor. Warranty eligibility and coverage depend on the materials and system installed, registration, and the warranty terms. Read our GAF information page and ask which option applies to your estimate.

Estimates, financing and claims

Are estimates free?

Yes. NGA offers free estimates. Tell us about the property and the work you have in mind through our contact form or call (203) 631-9280.

Does NGA offer financing for roofing projects?

Yes. Financing is available through Wisetack, subject to credit approval and program terms. The current financing page explains the available amount and application process.

Can insurance cover storm damage or a roof replacement?

Coverage depends on your policy, the cause of damage, documentation, and the insurer's decision. NGA can inspect and document visible damage and discuss the repair scope. We cannot guarantee claim approval or a full replacement; confirm coverage with your insurer.

Will my roof replacement need a permit?

Permit requirements vary by Connecticut municipality and project scope. Before work begins, we can discuss the plan for your town and identify which approvals are needed. Your local building department is the final authority.
